Qatar Airways Guide 2026: Doha, Qsuite, and First Class
A full-service global carrier from a single Doha hub: the three cabin classes, the famous Qsuite business seat, and where First class is actually available.
Anyone who's flown through Doha once understands why Qatar Airways keeps topping "best business class" rankings globally — the seat itself (Qsuite) became a benchmark other airlines get compared to, not just a comfortable chair.
The airline and its hub
Qatar Airways is a full-service global carrier, and its sole hub is Doha Hamad International Airport — not multiple hubs like some competitors, which makes the service experience (especially in Business class) consistent whether Doha is your starting point or just a connection.
The three cabin classes
| Class | Note |
|---|---|
| Economy | 30kg checked baggage + 7kg carry-on |
| Business (Qsuite) | Fully flat seat, 1-2-1 layout, sliding privacy door — center seats convert to a double bed or shared space. 40kg checked + two carry-on bags up to 15kg |
| First | Separate 1-2-1 cabin, fully flat beds 86 inches long, access to the exclusive Al Safwa First lounge in Doha — on select A380 aircraft only, not the whole network |
There's currently no Premium Economy — the airline plans to introduce it in the future with the new Boeing 777-9 type joining the fleet.
An honest note
If your flight happens to be on an A380 specifically and you're after the most luxurious experience possible, First class is genuinely rare at this level worldwide. But if A380 isn't available on your route, Qsuite in Business delivers nearly the same privacy level at a much lower price gap — check the aircraft type before comparing the two classes.
