Reschedule or cancel an appointment

• Reschedule: from the app → Appointments → select the appointment → "Reschedule" → pick an alternative date. Rescheduling is allowed up to 4 hours before the appointment.
• Cancel: same path, choose "Cancel." Please cancel at least a day before to free the slot for someone else.

Note: 3 consecutive no-shows lock booking for 7 days.

Attending your appointment

• 10 minutes before: that's what's required.
• QR code in the app: opens the electronic gate at reception if automated.

Since 2021, the Ministry of Health began the Health Clusters model, which groups hospitals and primary healthcare centres geographically under unified management. This affected Mawid in two ways:

1. Free booking within the cluster: you're no longer restricted to a single primary healthcare centre — you can book any centre within your cluster.
2. Data flow: test results at the primary centre appear directly to the doctor at the cluster's hospital without needing to print them.

• Electronic prescriptions: dispensed to expats from network pharmacies via Wasfaty tied to private insurance.

For expats — the largest use of Mawid is booking appointments at private insurance-network hospitals connected to the Ministry's grid, not the major specialty government hospitals.
